community and Herbal Medicine
Welcome to our website!
Of People and Plants is an initiative dedicated to empowering people in the use of herbal medicines. Our aim is to bring herbal medicine back to the community, and give people the practical knowledge to use the medicine that grows all around them.
This website is about the various ways in which we do that, and about how you can access what we offer.
Click here for a season-by-season description of the medicinal plants
you can expect to find growing near you at this time of the year.
You will find information on identifying, picking and preparing these
seasonal medicines, as well as descriptions of their healing properties.
Here you will find detailed Profiles of the plants we commonly use for
medicine.
This is also the place to go deeper into the the myth, magic and
medicine of the plants, and to link to recipes and tutorials on their use.
We have an colourful calendar of workshops, walks, festivals and
tutorials where we teach the art and craft of gathering and using wild
medicine.
Enter here to see descriptions of what we have to offer, or to browse
dates for the coming season.
This is a glimpse at the people behind the plants. We keep it brief
because the Plants are the real teachers, and you'll learn much more
from them!
Follow the 'Consultation' link to find out more about herbal consultations,
or to book a private session.
